Outreach

Through outreach efforts like toy drives, sporting goods drives, and CPR/AED training, the Ethan Joner Memorial Foundation aims to enrich the lives of children living in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. These initiatives also help honor the memory of Ethan, who wanted nothing more than to be a hero and give back to his community.

On 12/1/23 we received a truckload of toys from MAFTO after their annual Christmas for Kids event. Our founder Leigh Daly Joner spoke at the event about Ethan, the Foundation and our mission and goals.

Today we hosted our first Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED training with Palombo Training Group instructed by Cassidy Joner. The 3 hour course included CPR and AED training as well as choking protocol. In medical emergencies, especially cardiac arrest, every second counts. Knowing CPR and how to use an AED can literally save lives. Our first group is officially certified by the American Red Cross! Stay tuned for more opportunities to take this course with EJMF down the road.

Scholarship

In the spirit of enriching children’s lives, the Ethan Joner Memorial Foundation has established the Ethan Joner Memorial Scholarship. Each year, we will be awarding a $2,700 scholarship to an Academy Park High School Senior who is attending college, technical or a trade school. More details on applying to come.
